Who We Are

The Voices Of Friday Night

We are the crew behind the mics, the cameras, and the chains. South Carolina high school football runs through us, and we cover it like family.

The Creed

Mindset. Strength. Purpose.
More than a podcast. It's a movement.

Movin' The Chains started with a simple belief: South Carolina high school football deserves to be covered like it matters. Because it does. Every Friday night, communities across this state pack the stands for kids playing their hearts out under the lights, and those stories were going untold.

So we picked up a mic. We built it for the people who grind. The players putting in the early mornings, the coaches teaching more than X's and O's, the parents in the bleachers, and the towns that live and die by the final score.

We cover the players, the programs, and the people moving the chains across the Palmetto State. We do it warm, we do it honest, and we do it loud. This is not a show that talks down to its audience. It is a show that sits in the locker room with them.

Mindset. Strength. Purpose. Keep movin'.

John Epps has spent most of his life in South Carolina. His first memories of high school football were accompanying his Dad in the press box at Chester Cyclone games in the late 90s. John's favorite high school football memory was in 2002 seeing Lugoff-Elgin's playoff run that included 4th quarter fireworks in wins against Daniel and Broome, culminating in the Demons playing for the upper state championship. When he's not at football games, John can usually be found on a golf course, lake, or NASCAR race.
